Joe Guest, a poet and musician, sings country western blues rock tunes in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan and Neil Young.
+ Born in Vernon, British Columbia in western Canada, Joe spent mmuch of his adolescence and young adult years in Chester, England near the Welsh border. Having spent many years now in France, Spain and Portugal, he is truly multi-lingual.
+ His father gave him his first guitar when he was a teenager. It was an old second hand guitar with wooden pegs to tighten the strings, but as Joe later said, "You never forget your first guitar. I learned a lot from that guitar."
+ Many guitars, gigs and lessons from life later, Joe Guest is a travelling musician in the tradition of the Spanish Mariachis and the minstrels and troubadours of old Europe. Though he plays a rhythm guitar style to accompany many of the songs he sings, Joe is at his most beautiful best when finger picking, and singing along.
